Indian Fast Food Market is growing and Indian Entrepreneurs are taking foreign franchise Models Seriously. Bangs is one of the best examples to describe it.  A fast food Chain based in Chennai started in 2007, have expanding their Market to North and east India these days. One of the things to look after here is its establishment which is based on Models adopted by Fast food Major’s ‘McDonalds and KFC’.

Bangs, A common name in Chennai’s and nearby places, is giving good fight to McDonalds and KFC. It’s good for Competition as it will result in a price war and effect customers in a positive way only. The Indian based Company has already started their operations in Major Metro Cities like Gurgaon, Ahmadabad, Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Kolkata etc. It’s Surprising to know that a South based company tries to specialize in more Chicken based food which is much more common in North India.

McDonalds + KFC =??????

Here I haven’t compared McDonalds and KFC with bangs, as it will be too early to compare a 5 year old company with the companies

which are older for more than 100 years. The statement (McDonalds + KFC) signifies that Bangs Outlet is designed keeping in mind the Menus and Interiors of the above two MNC’s only.  You can find the Chicken McGill in Bangs with a different Name; you can the find the Chicken bucket in Bangs with a different Name and So. Pricing is less compared to two other brands.

We have to wait and watch the answers by these two MNC’s as they are old and have dominance in the Market. Their Customer base is Strong and has good backup. Bangs will shortly start their operations in tier -II and III cities and it’s only after the period of 1-2 years, we can actually start comparing their Markets. Till then, enjoy the food.

Hollywood Shining

If I complete the above line, then it would be ‘Hollywood Shining in India’. Hollywood movies are now in demand in India. People havestarted going watching Hollywood movies in Cinema Theaters with their families, friends and enjoying it. There is a complete change in the Scenario of Hollywood movies and their attitude towards Indian Cinema. There was a time when Indian viewers use to visualize Hollywood as ‘bold Cinema’ and use to watch Indian movies only.

But why there is a change in Attitude

Hollywood makers are targeting Indian public as most of the Indian public is close to Western Culture. Indian public are bit emotional and they like If Some Hollywood film features India in any way. The era was Started way back in 1982′s Hollywood flick’ Gandhi’ where Ben Kingsley played the Character of father of Nation. Next Indian movie, which got famous after got nominated for the Oscar’s was 1988′s ‘Salaam Bombay’. That was the Saturation point for Hollywood in India as Indian ‘Bollywood desi Masala’Cinema became hot favorite between 1990-00.  2001 changed the situation again when Aamir khan’s ‘Lagaan’ got nominated for Oscar’s. 2001-2007 dedicated to Hollywood Animated movies and Sci-fi films like HARRY POTTER which became big hits with kids and Youth in India.

Movies got a houseful response in several theaters of the cities and public were going in numbers to Watch their favorite Superheroes in one Movie fighting against the villain. Titanic 3D received an overwhelming response which shows the dominance of Western Movies in India . There are many more to Come and we will now see What will be the Strategies of  Indian makers to make

Corporate Politics

We are very much aware of the Political System in our Country and know the true Colors of the Politicians. But there is one Political System which is not played by a Government Politician, but by an ordinary person from Corporate.

Corporate Politics is becoming a part of an employee’s life in an organization. People who become old in the system exploits the new joiners as the new people are unaware of the process and how to use the system at the time of need. This factor is unknown to the new people who have recruited fresh from the campus placements. New Employees get use to the system and ultimately using it when they elevate in the hierarchy.

Some employees make the use of dear one’s to play politics against others. These employees unite against one body and make a different opinion against them.  This is quite filmy, but it’s real and practical.  Sometimes Work Performance becomes so important in an Organization that People Scheme against the Odds.

  • Corporate Politics is unavoidable and everyone has to adopt it in order to survive.
  • Old and experience Employees exploit the new joiners so that they leave there work and there Status within the System retains.
  • More than the Performance, It is the Smartness which comes into Play because Smart People know how to escape from danger.
  • Jealousy factor which leads to formation of groups who do Politics in Corporates.
  • Boss will criticize more and appraise less .This is also a form of Corporate Politics

There is no chapter in the business School’s book with the name ‘Corporate Politics’. It is the creation of human thinking and will continue to exist irrespective of People Comes in and goes out of the Process.

We all know the importance of Time in today’s World. Managing Time is a difficult task, but we need to do to make our life easier.  In sales particularly, we have to manage our time in such a way so that we close our call in a shorter duration as well as sell the multiple product line without affecting the customer -Salesman relationship.

 

 

Why Time Management in Sales?

In this busy world, we have multiple tasks to perform. If a customer gives you a time frame to reach, then we have to reach in that Particular time period only. This is necessary because Customer can feel the Punctuality of the Company in Salesperson. This will also help the Salesman to Interact  more with the Customer and take out as much as references which will be helpful in future Sales.

  • A salesperson has to Play Smart in the field to make a balance between Work and Private life.
  • Reaching before the time helps Salesman to absorb the Environment and later on Pitching of Product will depend upon it.
  • Always Put the Wrist Watch 5-10 minutes ahead of Actual time to make yourself Available before the Stipulated time.
  • Reaching late against the Committed time will make the Customer more Worried and angry over the Salesman and can turn out be a no sale of the Product

Time Management has been taught in various business Schools, but the Actual Importance of time has been learned only in Professional World in the FIELD only.

Butter Chicken:Brand of India

Australian Pacer ‘Brett Lee’ frequently visits India mainly because of two reasons 1) Love for IPL Cricket and 2) Love for Indian Specialty ‘Butter Chicken’.

Butter Chicken has become a brand for our Country .Most of the foreigners, who visits India, mainly because of reasons of Watching Indian Monuments and to taste Indian food. They (foreigners) are very fond of Indian Street food with full of Masala’s like Samosa, GolGappa, Paw bhaji and etc. But their liking towards Indian Mughlai food starts and ends with Butter Chicken. Butter Chicken is an Indian Non-Veg dish hardly available in other English Countries.  Most of the English People Cook beef and this is the reason that they couldn’t taste Indian Non-Veg dishes including Butter Chicken.

Most of the restaurant owners have started en cashing the Situations and specifically targeting foreigners towards Murg Masala or Butter Chicken. Kareem’s, started as a small restaurant in Old Delhi, are now became a successful franchise model and Inspiration for many Startup’s. Most of the customers of Kareem are foreigners and they (foreigners) visits every time to this place during their Stay in Delhi. Kareem’s have started different franchises in different parts of the Country and now started Opening there branches in U.K and USA also.

Quality of this dish Varies as most of the famous butter Chicken providers are small time restaurants, who concentrates less on Quality and Precautions. Butter Chicken Marketing has been taking place strongly in North India and most of the Punjabi’s have started even Exporting Chickens to U.K through Proper Channel benefiting a lot of Indian people settled in European Countries. In fact, many foreigners have started recognizing India as the Country of tandoori dishes and even saying the Butter Chicken as the food brand of India.

It’s time to Market and Sell our Specialty ‘Butter Chicken or other important Street food to Western Counties to generate more business and Money for Economy. In fact, it can become a hit Idea for all those ladies who cook food at home to feed their families. If they can able to change them with Changing Environment, these ladies can earn a lot of Money by Exporting there food. Importance of Product Knowledge in Sales

It is important to have good knowledge of Product before presenting it to the customer .When I say ‘Good’, it means that there is some role of communication skills in Sales Process. When a Salesman sits in the front of a customer for a small product meeting, It totally depends upon the sales person that how much time he is taking to convert it. Clarity brings more relief for the Customer to maintain trust on the Company for a longer period of time.

If a Salesman is not fully aware about the product then it create difficulty for him only as Customer will counter him and will pressurize  him more and ultimately the morale of Salesman goes down.

 

 

Solution

Accompany a senior with you as it will create more Confidence in you to present your product to the customer.  The senior will resolve all the queries of Customer and give a personal assurance in case of any problem.

In case, if you are handling it your own and the customer wants an answer from you, so let the customer speaks to your senior and clear all its doubts. This practice will help the customer to check your honesty towards you and will repeatedly buy the product from you only as he knows you will not cheat him. Also the senior will feel good and find a responsible future Manger in you.

Tablet War

The era has becoming more advanced with lots of new things which we better known as Technology. Previously, there was a certain specified role of technology which was limited to networking only. Competition in technology particularly in India was not expected to reach at a higher level as it reached today. Technology has become advanced fromSimple Mobile handsets to CD-MA’s to GSM to new generation of Music Phones of Nokia to business phones of Blackberry to Samsung’s typical galaxy or Smart phones to newly launched i Phones of Apple. Let me add Dual Sim handsets from Lava and Karbonn.

All these above companies have now engaged in a very different type of War called ‘Tablet’ War. Tablets are the new models from these companies, who now started realizing the needs of Customers to a great extent who has also become Smart with Changing Environment. Today, Customer wants high quality stuff with lots of features at a best possible price.

Tablets have become a need for them. They can Call, message, network, play, socialize, search, find and pay from one particular device known as Tablet.

  • Samsung has been attracting the customers through there ‘Galaxy Tablets’. Galaxy tablets have becoming a popular choice with the people because of its user friendliness. There Android based Models are capable of handling multiple tasks at a single point of time.Among all the players ,Samsung has the highest Market Share.
  • Blackberry emerged out with ‘Playbook Tablets’. Playbook is an exciting model meant for all types of business purpose features added with advance gaming (surprise feature from blackberry)

Competition is at Peak, which is a problem for the companies to some extent for the purpose of Survival but good for Customer to large Extent.

Why DHONI has become so popular in Advertisement World these days? This Question always comes in my mind and I always get confused that why People have started praising Dhoni more than Sachin in Ads. Dhoni is busy promoting Pepsi, Reebok, Aircel, McDowell and etc brands and earning millions of rupees. Spectators cheered for Dhoni’s Sixes when he is on Crease. They wait for him to play helicopter Shots and so is the Advertisement World. These companies did not waste a second playing an Ad for Dhoni’s Attitude and Power next after the Shot. Remember Dhoni’s long hair that enthralled even Pak president’ Musharraf’ for a minute.

 

Or May be it’s just the hype that Dhoni is getting bigger than Sachin in Advertisement World.

Believe it or not, it was Sachin’s glamour only that made Cricket a “Commercial business”. They put a lot of Advertisements when Sachin plays and Cricket Control of India earned a lot from this .They (AD Companies) were actually mixing the product with entertainment Masala which Viewers is getting from watching Sachin Playing. Companies like Pepsi, Complan, Airtel, MRF, Castrol, Britannia and etc were paying in millions for some seconds of ads to the Great Cricket legend’ Sachin Tendulkar’.

But who is the real AD king in today’s era….Sachin or Dhoni?

Critics believe that Sachin’s era is finished and Companies will switch to Dhoni in the near time. But Sachin is still earns more than Dhoni in Ad World, because, Still a number of brands are into the Pocket of him. But in terms of Number of brands, Dhoni still leads the game. Dhoni has become an Image of many companies and some believe Dhoni’s presence more powerful than Sachin’s.

“Youngistan” Craze makes Dhoni a more popular face than Sachin. But, When It comes to the “trust for the long term,” People talks of Sachin only. This Confusion will remain more active in the future and nobody is going to actually judge the real Ad king of India.
